What Is a Treehouse Attachment Bolt?
The Treehouse Attachment Bolt (TAB) is the structural backbone of every treehouse.
The lag-threaded end secures the TAB in the tree.
The boss, the thicker piece of 2-inch diameter steel, provides the majority of the TAB’s sheer strength and allows for greater distribution of the load.
The perch extends outward, acting as an artificial tree limb that supports structural members like beams.
You’ll attach your beams to the TABs using a Dynamic Uplift Arrestor (DUA) or Static Uplift Arrestors (SUA).

Tree Fort TAB Weight Limit?
Tree Fort TAB working loads will vary depending on the species of tree you are building in, and if you use a backup system or not.
We strongly recommend backing up all TABs using either a Cable Back Up or a Strut Back Up.
These are sold separately since you will need to determine which backup to use based on your design.

Allowing For Tree Movement
Trees are alive and dynamic - meaning they move independently in the wind and grow in girth.
Preventing natural motion is not only harmful to the tree, but potentially catastrophic for the structural integrity of your treehouse.
Use Static Uplift Arrestors and Dynamic Uplift Arrestors to control platform movement in the trees. This can also be done using Static Yoke Kits and Dynamic Yoke Kits.
