Treehouse Dynamic Uplift Arrestor (DUA) -Tree Fort Hardware
The Tree Fort Dynamic Uplift Arrestor (DUA) is a treehouse beam mounting bracket designed to secure your platform while still letting the tree move naturally. The DUA fastens a Tree Fort TAB to the underside of a beam and uses a durable nylon sliding slab so the TAB can glide as the tree sways and grows—helping reduce stress on your structure and hardware.
- Purpose: Secures beam while allowing independent tree movement
- Compatibility: Designed to work with the Tree Fort TAB
- Movement system: Low-friction nylon slab provides a smooth sliding surface
- Mounting: Attaches to the bottom of a beam with included hardware
Ideal for: DIY tree forts and treehouses where you need a secure beam connection without “locking” the platform to the tree’s natural motion.
Includes:
(1) Nylon Slab
(1) Slider bracket
(2) 5/8" x 4" lag screws
(2) 2" wood screws
*After your purchase is complete, you will be provided with installation instructions. Please see the "order note" in your confirmation email to access these.
Components of a Dynamic Uplift Arrestor
To achieve the dynamic movement in the trees, a Nylon Slab is placed in between the TAB and beam. The TAB is then secured with a Metal Bracket using (2) 5/8”x4” Galvanized Lags.
Allowing For Tree Movement
Trees are alive and dynamic - meaning they move independently in the wind and grow in girth.
Preventing natural motion is not only harmful to the tree, but potentially catastrophic for the structural integrity of your treehouse.
Use Static Uplift Arrestors and Dynamic Uplift Arrestors to control platform movement in the trees. This can also be done using Static Yoke Kits and Dynamic Yoke Kits.
