1 Tree - Shaw Tree Fort Plan
Clean lines, a covered porch, and a whole lot of charm. The Shaw is a fully enclosed tree fort built in the quintessential Nelson Treehouse style, supported by a single tree using Nelson Tree Fort Hardware. A ship's ladder climbs to a sheltered porch tucked beneath the sloped shed roof, finished with our classic railing detail and vertical board siding. Step through the full-length glass door into 94 sq ft of interior space, with room for two sleeping bags, a small desk, and everything you need for a night in the trees. A double window fills the space with light and frames views of the canopy, while 26 sq ft of covered deck gives you a spot to sit back and enjoy the outdoors, rain or shine.

Good to know
These plans are written with the beginner-to-intermediate builder in mind; some basic framing experience is helpful. Your plan links directly to the hardware kit you'll need (the 1 Yoke 2 Post Kit or 1 Tree 3 Post Kit, sold separately), and TAB installation instructions are included as a digital download with your purchase. Your host tree should be at least 10" in diameter at build height.
All plans have been reviewed by a licensed structural engineer. Plans are not stamped, and permitting requirements vary by location, so check with your local building department before you build. Any substantial modifications or extreme site conditions should be reviewed by a local engineer.
